I decided to do another Polished man post because I really 1) Want to promote this organization but 2) I want to share the research that i believe proves JK was not representing Polished man with his fingernails. Even though I am all for it and I love it, I don't think that is what he was doing. 

So yesterday as soon as I got home from work I started researing this organization. I work with some domestic violence charities so I wanted to learn more about this one since i had not heard of it before. And guess what??? There is way more to this than the solos and antis would lead you to believe. I originally ran with this idea because of all of the blow back from the Puffy not guilty verdict. I thought he was just throwing his support in for victims. But as you guys know i loooooooooove research, so I dug in.

Here are some of the reasons that I don't think JK was doing a polished man campaign.

1) He isn't doing it right - the campaign specifically asks men to only paint ONE nail so that it can stand out and spark conversation (not some black, one blue)

2) If he is part of the campaign he is supposed to be very vocal about it. The intent is to speak out about the violence, not to quietly paint a nail and move on with no explanation. IF he was formally a part of the campaign, they would have announced it because that is a BIG BIG BIG catch and it would have brough in millions of dollars in donations to their cause. I checked and JK is nowhere listed as an amabassador on their website. In fact the 2025 campaign hasn't even kicked off yet https://polishedman.com

3) Polished Man fundraising and awareness happens ONLY in October. I think in 2024 they tried to make it year round but it didn't really get attention until October which is the usual fundraising kick off. If JK is a part of this - he's a little early isn't he?

 I love the idea of our men fighting for causes. But in this case, I think this narrative was pushed forward by solos and antis who don't want to admit one simple fact, JK was trying to match Jimin. There was noting else. There was no greater purpose. He wore blue on his ring finger that has the J M on it.

I would get my ass kicked if I ever said this on twitter, but this is just my belief. Follow my logic - It is very dangerous for an Idol of JKs caliber to get too involved with social causes publicly (privately is a different matter) Even innocent ones that truly are valuable to our society can be misused/misunderstood/corrupted and that could easily cause controversy and blow back on him. BUt the bigger issue is that once you support one cause, the fandom will then expect you to support ALL OF THEM. And then the narrative will become "he supported the fight against domestic abuse but didnt' support the fight against xyz - cancel him". It can put him in a difficult spot. 

Even Yoongi got blow back because they accused him of only supporting the autism center to cover the hype around that none event on the scooter last year. 

I want him to support anything he feels passionate about and as I posted on my last post, I fully support him 100% and I would LOVE for him to be an abbassador for this charity. But I am also a truth teller. And as wonderful as that sounds, I don't think that is what he was doing here with the blue nail. I am happy to be wrong, but I prefer to be accurate and fact based. The facts here just don't add up to him being a part of this campaign. And that leaves just one thing - he was purposely matching Jimin. Period.

For the record, I don't think Jin was doing polished man either. But I could be wrong. You just don't take a stand like this and then say absolutely nothing about it to promote donations. It makes no sense and the campaign would reach out to them because this is the biggest group in the WORLD! Let me know if you see any place where Jin has promoted this or talked about this.
